Slow and steady wins the race, right?

I am slowly moving along in my list. I think I mentioned in the last post that I got a mammogram so I can cross that off.

I went in Suzanne's hot tub when it was cold. Unfortunately, it wasn't snowing but who knew that we STILL wouldn't have snow since the freak Halloween snow! Even though it wasn't snowing it was cold out so that kind of counts. But there's really nothing like beautiful falling snow when you're in a hot tub so I'm hoping at some point we'll get snow so I can do that...even though I hate snow...and hate the cold!

I am currently in the process of "take an exercise class I've never done before". I am halfway through a bootcamp. I've taken bootcamp classes before but never with this instructor and I am definitely doing moves I haven't done in a while (hello horrible bear crawls, crab walks and jumping squats). It is definitely a good class and each week I leave totally spent.

I just reread my list and realized that I need to get on the ball. There's a lot still to do (and most of the easy ones are taken!). That certainly doesn't mean I've been lazy. I've just been accomplishing things that aren't on my list. Purging and cleaning out the bonus room was an all day thing last Saturday that I've been wanting to do for a while. I've been trying all sorts of new recipes (although none with tomatillos, cheesecake or bread) and have been obsessed with making smoothies every morning. Working out most mornings, planning N's birthday party and C's school Valentine's party. Getting the car fixed, husband out of town a lot, organizing, cleaning, laundry, etc etc etc!

So that's my update for today. Perhaps I should aim to make frozen hot chocolate this week. That's another one that's easy to cross off! I found a recipe for a low fat one from Joy Bauer and the copycat Serendipity one, which is not lowfat. Wonder which one I'll try. Maybe both!

A Quick Update...

Two more on my list bite the dust.

Woman in White. Read. And thoroughly enjoyed. I really did enjoy this book. It was a good suspense novel. And now I just started another 600 page novel! Matterhorn about the Vietnam War. This one is for book club. Looking forward to reading a book with less than 600 pages next. Of course I did manage to squeeze in reading Mockingjay in between the 600 page books. It's the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy. I am like a 17 year old girl and really excited about the movie coming out in March!

And the second thing I accomplished was having a mammogram done. Not a fun experience but not quite as bad as I'd imagined.

Over and out...
